What's a Dietitian?

We are the nutrition experts.  If you have a question or concern related to a healthy lifestyle or a
special diet ,  we are the ones to ask.

Education wise, a Dietitian has a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college.  At that point, you either have an internship, Approved Supervised Practice or Master's Degree to qualify for the Registration Exam.  After passing the Exam, you are a Registered Dietitian!  We then need continuing education to maintain our Registration.  This keeps us updated on current knowledge, trends, etc.  Some states have licensure for Dietitians. Be aware that unlike a Dietitian, a nutritionist is not required to have a Bachelor's Degree.  Their expertise is very limited.
